Build: The Word That Drives Results in 2026

I don’t make resolutions, and I’m not a big goal-setter. Those philosophies rarely stick. Instead, I look for tangible, practical objectives—things I can wrap my head around, focus on, and build.

What’s the difference?

Goals:

  • Long-term ambitions
  • Overarching intentions
  • Lifelong aims
  • Often broad and abstract

Objectives:

  • Specific actions or deliverables
  • Short-term and actionable
  • Purposeful, measurable steps
  • Focused and concrete

This year, “Build” is my word. Why? Because building creates freedom. Whether it’s building systems that empower others, building a business from the ground up, building leaders, networks, or community impact—progress is always in the build.

The Four Foundations of Building Forward:

  1. Commitment
  2. Discipline
  3. Leadership
  4. Accountability

Define what success looks like for you—individually or as a team—and remember:
We all fall. Champions aren’t the ones who never fail; they’re the ones who get back up, learn, and keep building. That’s how impact is created.

Move forward with faith—in yourself, your team, and your shared vision.
